How long does the policy last?

This is a whole-life insurance policy, regardless of the insured’s age. It is renewed annually on the sole condition that the insured is up to date with their payments.

If the insured or the household move, does this have any significant implications?

We’ll need to recalculate the sum insured and therefore also the premium as the cost of funeral services may vary from town to town.

What happens if the insured dies abroad?

The Basic Worldwide Assistance cover, which is part of the core package, includes repatriation of deceased, injured or ill people when the trip abroad lasts less than 60 days.

What happens if the family arranges the service themselves?

We will reimburse the cost of the service to whoever arranges it up to at most the sum insured as the ‘Service Benefit’.

In what circumstances will the legal heirs be the beneficiaries of the policy?

When the sum insured as the ‘Service Benefit’ is greater than the actual costs of the death and funeral. The remaining amount will be paid to the policyholder or, failing that, to the legal heirs
