Children's Category Winners
As in previous editions, the jury also recognized works created by children in three categories. The contestants who created the best works in each category were awarded with art supplies. In addition, six study scholarships to the Consulado del Mar Drawing Academy were awarded.

For this year's competition, the winning paintings will once again be displayed at the Casa del Cordón starting on Tuesday, 6 September until Sunday, 9 October. The paintings will be on sale with a portion of the proceeds going to the Cathedral. The artist will earn 70% of the proceeds for their work, and 30% will go to the Cathedral, a quantity that will be matched and donated by the AXA Foundation.
The award ceremony will be held on Thursday, 15 September at 7:00 pm. A catalogue of the winning works will also be published.

Our partnership with the Burgos Cathedral
For more than twenty-five years, the AXA Foundation has collaborated with the Burgos Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Foundation has represented one of the main supporters and benefactors of the Cathedral rehabilitation and conservation project ever since the Master Plan for the Cathedral was initiated in 1995. This initiative came about following the collapse of the statue of San Lorenzo in the Santa María square. This situation made the Cathedral Chapter, public authorities, institutions, businesses, and citizens themselves aware of the need to care for the city's most important monument.
Over the years, AXA has been directly involved in the conservation, restoration, and promotion of the artistic value of the Cathedral through the funding of projects and the organization of the Burgos Cathedral One-Day Painting Competition; one of the most prestigious in Spain and now an annual summer tradition.
AXA's aim is to conserve and restore the Cathedral so that it can be enjoyed by future generations and promote its value among today's public. Its approach goes beyond mere financial sponsorship; for AXA, it is essential to engage the people of Burgos with these projects by encouraging their public involvement and participation in its conservation and restoration, and in this case, an initiative that comes to life every year with hundreds of easels and paintbrushes that capture the Cathedral on canvas.
