What will the challenge be?

This hackathon will be the perfect opportunity to work as a team, showcase your talent and develop innovative ideas that transform the relationship between AXA and its customers. You’ll have the support of experts and mentors to take your proposal to the next level. We’ll be targeting four key areas where your talent can make a difference:

Getting to know our customers

How could we harness AI to better understand people? Picture personalising experiences, anticipating their needs and crafting offers which truly wow them./p>

Customer service

Can you make the customer experience faster, smoother and more personalised? From chatbots that seem human to omnichannel systems, it’s time to redefine customer service!

Risk assessment

What if we could foresee problems before they happen? That’s not magic; it’s technology. Build tools that make it easier to assess and mitigate risks.

Efficiency and sustainability

Sustainability is no longer optional. How can we streamline processes, automate workflows and lessen our environmental impact by tapping more efficient software solutions?

  • A trip for two people to a European city: Includes return travel from Madrid and two nights’ accommodation with breakfast. (One prize per participant, valid for two years).

Morning

09:00 - 09:30: Arrival of participants and accreditation.
09:30 - 09:45: Welcome to participants and opening of the hackathon with Carolina de Oro (CTO of AXA Spain).
09:45 - 10:15: Setting up teams.
10:15 - 14:00: Start of development time: let’s get to work!
14:00 - 15:00: Lunch break to recharge your batteries.

Afternoon/evening

15:00 - 18:30: Development time continues: last chance to hone your solution.
18:30 - 18:45: Submission of materials by participants.
18:45 - 20:00: Start of project presentations to the jury.
20:00 - 20:30: Jury deliberation: a tense and exciting moment.
20:30 - 21:00: Awards ceremony and closing of the hackathon.

We're here to answer all your questions

  • Yes, the event is free.

  • Once you’ve submitted the completed registration form, you’ll get an email confirming your entry.

  • Of course you can. Sign up now, as those of you without a team will put one together at the start of the hackathon. Teams can be made up of at most five people.

  • Yes, you’ll need to have whatever devices (laptop, tablet, etc.) you’ll be using to work on your projects. Don’t forget to bring your charger.

  • An independent jury will choose the winning teams based on a number of factors: originality of the idea, quality of the presentation, feasibility of the project, design and usability, and degree of completion of the project.

  • The hackathon will be limited to 50 participants. If you sign up and the event is already full, you'll be put on a waiting list in case anyone decides not to attend at the last minute.

  • If you can’t come to the event after all, it would be a great help to us in terms of organisation if you could let us know by cancelling your registration. You can do this by emailing hackathonaxa@codemotion.it

  • Each participating group will be the sole owner of all intellectual and industrial property rights relating to their respective projects.

  • It’s a development programme designed to challenge and support you in your professional and personal growth through a series of assignments. The programme runs for two years and consists of four assignments, each lasting six months. Three assignments are in Technology and one is in another part of the company. You'll learn about different technologies and programming languages, and also gain insight into the Technology side of the business as a whole.
