Premio Novela Fernando Lara (Fernando Lara Fiction Awards)

In 2024, the AXA Foundation and Grupo Planeta renewed their collaboration agreement for the development and promotion of culture. This agreement includes the AXA Foundation's sponsorship of the annual Fernando Lara Fiction Awards.

Regarding the goals of this agreement, AXA Foundation Chair Olga Sánchez states that “for the AXA Foundation, this collaboration agreement reaffirms our social commitment to promoting culture and, moreover, does so with the best possible partner, Grupo Planeta, with whom we have maintained a decade-long collaboration”.

The Fernando Lara Fiction Award was created in 1996 by José Manuel Lara Hernández, founder of the Grupo Planeta, with an aim to actively foster reading. Past winners of this award include prestigious authors such as Terenci Moix, Francisco Umbral and Juan Eslava Galán.
