Periodismo 2030 (Journalism 2030)

Promoted by journalist Fernando Jaúregui, the Periodismo 2030 initiative was created to provide a space for discussion on the future of media, on how to shape a new form of journalism and contribute to societal development through dialogue, debate, and consensus on today's key issues.

How?

Through debates that encourage deep reflection featuring renowned Spanish journalists from across the Spanish media landscape. Through studies  on public perceptions of the media and journalism, and on media consumption habits in Spain. Topics addressed range from the future role of the press, social media journalism, and the future of radio and television, to the educational models that should be adopted in the faculties of communication across the country.

2024 Survey on the Decalogue for change

The 2024 study conducted by Metroscopia the for Periodismo 2030 initiative and the AXA Foundation offers a snapshot of the various factors involved in the process of change experienced by today's society.
It confirms the findings of AXA's latest international studies: we are living in a world of polycrisis, where risks are interconnected. In the words of Josep Alfonso, General Director of the AXA Foundation, “anticipating them helps us to protect ourselves and prepare for future events more effectively, so that they do not pose a risk to us”.

Digital transformation, climate change, geopolitical conflicts, and developments in health, communication and miscommunication are just some of the topics addressed in these thematic surveys. Published in different autonomous communities, these surveys explore the principal concerns of Spaniards with respect to the changes we are experiencing today.
